Chrissy & Ethan {Portland Maine Wedding}

This was such an amazing wedding from start to finish. There was so much love and happiness in and around this couple, their families and friends! My husband Mat and I had a blast traveling up to do this and felt so at home! When this opportunity came up, I was stoked….For so many reasons.

Chrissy and Ethan have such a heart for God. They are doing amazing things and are the coolest couple. The first few times I read Chrissy’s blog, I was sucked in, affected and related to so many things she talked about. I loved that she was so open and willing to share. And Ethan? Hilarious. He is so funny and has such a kind spirit. Both of them come from amazing families and we were just so happy to be a part of this day with them. I never ever question God’s way of orchestrating meetings, relationships, friendships. We are all in this life together and I think if we can realize it’s not just about “us,” we are so much better off.

I decided that morning to head over to the reception site….watching the iffy weather I thought, “this could get a little crazy and I want to make sure to get all the sweet details they did all by themselves!I also saw the pool when I was there and wondered who would end up in it at the end of the night. Ha! Must have been some foreshadowing…..

Chrissy and Ethan you guys are the coolest and I love you both!!! Thanks for having Mat and I there. We will never forget it. 🙂

information from the bride herself!
-Our invitations were from Vista Print
-My mom, grandma & I made all the food
-My dress was from a little dress shop downtown Portland called, Andrea’s Bridal
-Ethan’s suit & the grooman’s pants were from Sears… they ordered their suspenders & skinny ties online
-We rented the tables & chairs from One Stop Party Shoppe in South Portland, ME
-My mom and I made; all the burlap runners for the tables, our floral table cloth for the Bride & groom table, Mr & Mrs sign, flag pendants, paper chains (Ethan made those and is in love with them because of that haha) and then I went to goodwill & other stores to find other various decorations that we used.
-Isaiah Bennett (grooms brother) and Shanna Perreault (Groom’s cousin & my best friend) sang Love Came Down, by Brian Johnson during the ceremony
-Our Pastor Mario Maston married us!!
-Bridesmaids dresses were from Banana Republic, and then I added skinny belts from Francesca’s to a few of the dresses. Maid of Honor’s dress was from Talbots… I let all the girls pick their own shoes that they would wear again.
